Florida law allows licensed physicians to recommend medical marijuana for conditions comparable to those listed or if they believe the patient will benefit from its use. This includes unlisted conditions that may still qualify.

The cost to register for a medical cannabis card in Florida is $75. Patients are also responsible for the cost of the state’s required medical evaluation, available for $148 through NuggMD’s lowest price guarantee.
Cannabis, whether medical or recreational, remains federally illegal. Therefore, most insurance companies won’t cover cannabis-based treatments. This may change as legislation develops.
Florida requires patients meet with a doctor in-person for their initial medical marijuana recommendation. NuggMD simplifies the process by connecting you with a nearby doctor so you can complete your evaluation fast (in many cases on the same day). Once your application is submitted, the state typically processes it and notifies you of your approval within 7 to 21 days. You’ll receive a temporary card via email, which allows you to purchase cannabis from local dispensaries right away. Your physical med card may take up to 6 weeks to arrive.

Once you’ve been approved and issued your certification, a refund for services will no longer be available. Please send an email to support@nuggmd.com with the subject line “Refund Request” and a brief description of your issue.
We want to make sure you’re 100% satisfied with your purchase being that you, the customer, are the most important thing to us! Once a refund has been initiated, please allow 3-5 business days for the funds to transfer back to the card you used for the transaction. If any issues arise, please feel free to reach back out for further assistance.
Of course! You have the right to see any licensed Florida physician to renew your medical marijuana recommendation. Whether you got your card with NuggMD last year or a different physician, NuggMD’s Florida-licensed physicians are standing by.
This depends on the state to which you’re traveling. Each state has different rules regarding reciprocity, and some don’t allow it at all. Check with your destination state to learn more.
Florida law requires a valid government-issued Florida ID or driver’s license to obtain a medical cannabis card. The state doesn’t recognize medical cards from other states, regardless of if that state has identical qualifying conditions and regulations.
