- P.L.2013, c.160 (2013): The law allowed edible forms of medical cannabis for minor patients, with parental consent.
- Jake Honig Act (2019): Lawmakers created the Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC), expanded caregiver and delivery options, added employment protections, and phased out the sales tax on medical cannabis.
- Public Question 1 (2020): About 67% of voters approved a constitutional amendment legalizing cannabis for adults 21 and older.
- CREAMM Act (2021): The law set up the adult-use market and protected employees who use cannabis legally off the job.
- Adult-use sales (2022): The first 12 adult-use dispensaries opened on April 21, 2022.
