How to Get a Medical Card in Colorado

Your Colorado physician will determine your eligibility for medical marijuana treatment.
Submit Your Application
With your doctor's recommendation and other required information, complete an application online or through the mail and pay the state registration fee.
Receive Your Colorado Med Card
If you submit your application online, you’ll be notified of the status within 1 to 3 business days. Applications submitted through the mail will take 6 to 8 weeks to process. Your CO medical marijuana card is good for one year.

What are Colorado’s qualifying conditions?
Each state has their own set of “qualifying conditions” and most don’t need medical proof that you have it.
Colorado separates the list of qualifying medical conditions eligible for medical marijuana treatment into two categories.
Debilitating medical conditions. Only physicians with an MD or a DO can recommend medical marijuana for these conditions. These types of conditions are issued a card valid for 1 year.

- Any condition for which a physician could prescribe an opioid

If you’re not approved for your medical marijuana certification, your evaluation is free.
If you sign up and pay for your evaluation, but then cancel before your evaluation, there is a small $10 fee for the payment processing.
Once you’ve been approved and issued your certification, a refund for services will no longer be available. Please send an email to support@nuggmd.com with the subject line “Refund Request” and a brief description of your issue.
We want to make sure you’re 100% satisfied with your purchase being that you, the customer, are the most important thing to us! Once a refund has been initiated, please allow 3-5 business days for the funds to transfer back to the card you used for the transaction. A refund is no longer available more than 30 days after the date of your evaluation. If any issues arise, please feel free to reach back out for further assistance.
NuggMD does currently not offer its services in Colorado. You can see any Colorado state-licensed MD, DO, or podiatrist to get your medical marijuana renewal evaluation.
