In Mississippi, a medical cannabis card is the only way to legally purchase and possess cannabis. Having a card allows you to visit a state dispensary and purchase cannabis legally. Having a card also allows you to speak to a state-licensed doctor about your medical condition and how cannabis could help. A practitioner could help you find the right strain, method of consumption, and dosage. Having a medical cannabis card is also the only way to legally have a caregiver help you with your medical cannabis.
Mississippi extends legal protections to medical cannabis patients. Patients are protected, by law, in parental rights cases.
