In most states, the list of qualifying medical conditions is maintained by whichever government agency oversees the state’s medical cannabis program. That’s usually the state’s department of health or a cannabis control board. It should be possible for patients to petition the agency to add their condition, if it isn’t listed. You may also want to reach out to your local representatives in the state legislature for help.
When Wyoming legalizes medical cannabis, it will likely be the only way to legally purchase and possess cannabis in the state. Having a medical cannabis card will also enable you to work with your doctor to figure out the best treatment plan for your condition. That includes help with finding the best methods of using cannabis, strains, and dose.
