Patient Qualifications for Medical Marijuana in Missouri
To be eligible for a medical cannabis card in Missouri, you must be at least 18 years of age. Patients under 18 must apply with a parent or guardian acting as their designated caregiver. You are no longer required to show proof of residency. The state requires that patients obtain a medical cannabis recommendation through a licensed medical doctor or nurse practitioner.
You Meet the Missouri Medical Card Requirements… Now What?
Once you see a licensed physician or nurse practitioner for a medical cannabis evaluation, they will determine if you are eligible, and if so, submit their recommendation via the DHSS website. You will create an account and upload your identification card through the same website, complete any remaining steps, and then pay the $26.50 fee. If approved, you will receive a digital copy of your Missouri medical cannabis card that you can use right away.
