You’ll need a qualifying condition with a doctor’s recommendation and proof of state residency to become eligible for a Nevada cannabis card. That means possessing a valid state-issued driver’s license or ID. Individuals under 18 must enlist a caregiver who is a parent or legal guardian.

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD);
  • A medical condition or treatment for a medical condition that produces, for a specific patient, one or more of the following: Cachexia; Muscle spasms, including, without limitation, spasms caused by multiple sclerosis; Seizures, including, without limitation, seizures caused by epilepsy; Nausea; or Severe or chronic pain;
  • The human immunodeficiency virus and any medical condition related to the human immunodeficiency virus;
  • A neuropathic condition, whether or not such condition causes seizures or
  • Any other medical condition or treatment for a medical condition that is: Classified as a chronic or debilitating medical condition by regulation of the Division or Approved as a chronic or debilitating medical condition pursuant to a petition submitted.

The Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) establishes qualifying conditions. If your specific condition isn’t mentioned, approval may not be granted. Contact a cannabis doctor through NuggMD to find out about whether you can get approved for your state’s medical cannabis program.

Cannabis is permissible for adults 21 and older in Nevada. But having a medical marijuana card in Las Vegas comes with unique benefits not available to recreational consumers.

They can purchase up to 10,000mg of THC in concentrates, edibles, and other non-flower cannabis products compared to 100mg per package for non-cardholders. Furthermore, medical marijuana cardholders in Las Vegas can grow up to six mature and six immature plants under certain conditions.

Yes, you can still renew with NuggMD. In Nevada, any Doctor of Medicine could approve a medical marijuana application. All NuggMD physicians are licensed in the state where they conduct evaluations. They hold the essential cannabis training and certifications to renew and approve applications.

YES, you can get cannabis delivery in Las Vegas, Nevada! Adults 21 and older can order cannabis delivery for recreational or medicinal purposes. Individual counties have the right to restrict cannabis delivery sales within their jurisdiction. Since Las Vegas is in Clark County, cannabis delivery is currently legal and thriving.

The excise cannabis tax rates are consistent across all counties in Nevada. In Clark County, where Las Vegas is located, the cannabis tax rate aligns with the rest of the state. Both adult-use and medical cannabis are subject to a 15% Nevada wholesale excise tax. There is a 10% retail excise tax that applies to recreational sales, but medical patients are exempt!

There’s presently just one state-licensed cannabis consumption lounge in Nevada. The first and only state-licensed consumption lounge, the Sky High Lounge, is in downtown Las Vegas. However, the NuWu Cannabis Marketplace, a cannabis lounge that opened in 2019 on the Paiute Tribe land, is just two blocks from downtown Las Vegas. Fortunately, you can look forward to more lounges emerging in the coming years. That goes particularly for the city that never sleeps, Las Vegas in Clark County.

Within Nevada, it’s legal to smoke cannabis on private properties, such as a home. You can also consume somewhere if it has a commercial cannabis license. These establishments have yet to be prevalent in Nevada at present. However, Nevada regulators did approve three cannabis consumption lounges in June 2023. Two of those lounges are in the Las Vegas Valley.
